Check out this recap from VBS 2024!
All your children shall be taught by the Lord, and great shall be the peace of your children. - Isaiah 54:13
At Commonplace, God has blessed our church family with an abundance of young folks! We’re committed to caring for them well, keeping them safe & teaching them all about Jesus through our Nursery (through age 4) and Children’s Church (ages 5-9).
Our Nursery program provides a fun, safe & caring environment for our infants & toddlers so that parents can be at ease and fully present for Sunday services.
Through engaging lessons, games, activities & songs, our Children’s Church exists to provide the children of Commonplace with a fundamental understanding of who God is and how the Gospel impacts their lives.
All of our teachers and volunteers are background checked. Our SIGN UP form for students includes an option to include any medical notes, allergies, or other pertinent information.
The safety and spiritual growth of your little ones is of utmost importance to us!
If you’re visiting for the first time, welcome! If you’re a new parent looking to register your child for the Explorers/Nursery, congratulations! We would encourage you to register ahead of time - that way when you arrive on a Sunday morning, your child is all ready to go!
We also have the option of registering at our Check-In Station prior to Sunday Service at 8:45AM. Make sure to arrive a few minutes early! At our Check-In Station, both you and your child will receive a sticker name-tag with basic information and a matching security code.
Explorers (Up to Age 4)
Children can be checked in at the check-in station upon arrival and brought to the nursery. Parents/guardians are asked to pick them up promptly at the conclusion of service.
Pathfinders & Adventurers (Grades K-4)
After stopping by the check-in station, children are invited to join us in the sanctuary for opening worship. They will be dismissed with their teachers during the announcements.
Please note: Children will no longer be dismissed by their teachers to join for closing worship. Instead, we ask that all children be picked up by a parent/guardian at the conclusion of service.
Over 30% of our current church body are youth or children! As you can imagine, our need for volunteers & teachers is large as well. To sign up to serve or learn more, use the button below:
